Buckeye Union School District announces that beginning February 2, 2010, kindergarten registration for the 2010/2011 school year will be accepted at all of its elementary schools [Buckeye in Shingle Springs (530-677-2277), Blue Oak and Blue Oak Montessori in Cameron Park (530-676-0164), William Brooks in El Dorado Hills (916-933-6618), Silva Valley in El Dorado Hills (916-933-3767) and Oak Meadow in El Dorado Hills (916-933-9746)]. School websites can be accessed at buckeyeusd.org. Registration packets will be available in all school offices beginning January 25, 2010.
Registrations will be taken at school sites based upon designated boundaries. New kindergarteners living in the Valley View area south of Highway 50 should enroll at William Brooks Elementary School. New kindergarteners living in the Silver Dove area (Bass Lake Road development) should enroll at Blue Oak Elementary School. A map of the new boundaries can be accessed at buckeyeusd.org and follow the links: District à Boundaries, then select either middle or elementary school.
A child who resides in Buckeye Union School District and will be five years of age on or before December 2, 2010, may register for kindergarten. Your child's birth certificate, immunization record and proof of residency will be required when you register your child. If you need any further information regarding registration, please visit or call the school.
All new enrollees for all other grade levels are invited to register on February 2, 2010, according to the boundaries assigned to each site. Be sure to bring proof of residency when picking up registration papers and again when registering your child. Proof of residency information is posted on the district website under the “For Parents” tab.
Any child attending Buckeye Union School District on a current Interdistrict Transfer, and/or siblings thereof, must renew/submit the application or employment verification by February 2, 2010.
New Interdistrict Transfer requests will not be reviewed until May 17, 2010.
